Hotel China Town Inn Website...80RM/night with HW and window. Right in the heart of Chinatown with night markets on the street below. Clean, though a bit worn rooms. Nice enough stafff.

...Penang Malaysia
Hong Ping . Website...50RM single with hw and window. AC also. In Georgetown on the main gh street. OK restaurant nextdoor. Seemed safe. Clean and tv.

...Langkawi Island
Langkawi Village Resort Website...Higher priced place with good restaurant on premises. Excellent staff and beautiful sunsets. $50-70US I think. Good beach. Nicer beaches on some of the surrounding islands.

...Singapore
Inn at Temple St Website...$68S . Small single room with small window. Literally had to climb over the bed to reach the bathroom. Big bathroom with shower HW. TV. Internet downstairs. Good restaurant downstairs too. In Chinatown close to cheap and good food options. Very clean and nice staff.

...Melaka
Day trip from KL. Got a ticket through my hotel for $10US. Took you around the sites and fed you a good lunch. Back at the hotel by around 4 or so.

Transport
Airport...no problem arriving by plane. Find the bus ticket booths and get a ticket to the city in KL. They will transport you to town then put you on a minivan for delivery to your hotel or GH. I mostly walked everywhere in Malaysia.

KL-Penang. Bus forgot the price. Left in the am and arrived a little after noon same day.

Penang-Langkawi. Boat $65RM i think RT. Taxi from boat dock to GH can get expensive. I paid $7US.

Late night bus Penang-Singapore. Overnight arrive Singapore 10am. Go through customs and all, the bus waits for you. Lots of money changer in Chinatown.

Singapore-Airport. Early flight so had to pay extra surcharges for taxi. Another expensive ride.

Things To See
...Kuala Lumpur
Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. Night markets are great. Good food. Lots of people.

Petronas Towers. Yes, just to say you have seen them.

Thaipusam Festival if you are there at the right time.

...Penang
Snake Temple...Not many snakes left but worth a visit.

Drive around the island. Lots of good vantage points to be found and secluded beaches.

Night vendors along the waterfront in Georgetown.

...Langkawi
Not too much to do but relax and take in the sun. Some good food around and keep an eye out for monitor lizards. They are around the area. Daytrips can be done to surrounding islands.

...Singapore
Zoo and Night Safari are a must see. Take the whole day and do it.

Chinatown area. Good night market and food.

Little India area has some good food too.
